I started my career with a focus on SEO and shifted into a focus on content strategy, leadership, and management. Along the way, I also got my MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco and honed my creative chops. I’ve written everything from SEO-driven blog posts to mid-funnel resource pages to short-form ad copy and social posts.

I began here as the sole copywriter on the team, writing all landing page content for client sites before shifting into a more strategic and editorial role. While applying for and attending graduate school, I maintained my skillset with freelance work, most notably at Maptive, a B2B SaaS mapping technology company, as well as Big Footprint Digital, a digital marketing agency. At Big Footprint, I would with a variety of clients in spaces like B2B SaaS, mental healthcare, pet insurance, and payments.

While in my MFA program, I took full advantage of the extracurricular opportunities available. I was the Production and Design Editor of Invisible City, the graduate program’s literary magazine, and I served as a graduate teaching assistant for 3 semesters. I also taught my own Intro to Creative Writing course as part of a post-grad fellowship.
I grew the foundation of my career on the SEO team at Ancestry. There, in addition to technical SEO audits and reporting, I built a process to create content to support the DNA product. This included cross-functional work to implement easy-to-use templates to enable faster page creation.
